Working across the south west of England, Sunny Patch Solar and Renewables was founded in 2024 to help Britain decarbonise and get to a Net-Zero future. It was set up under the principle that cheap clean renewable energy should be available to everyone and that all homes should be comfortable to live in while also being energy efficient.

At Sunny Patch we strive to give the best possible service to our customers making sure that they are confident in the technologies that they are getting installed. We pride ourselves on providing a personalised service and not having a one size fits all approach so that every customer gets exactly what they're looking for.

Above everything else we pride honesty as our best asset. We will never sell you a system or product that we don't 100% think is right for you and will always work with you to find the best and most cost effective solution for your home.

Meet the Team

Sunny Patch is a small family run business made up of people passionate about renewable energy.

Founder and Lead installer

Tom Chudley-Evans

Tom started Sunny Patch to help bring renewable energy to the south west. Having worked at home and abroad in solar, batteries and heat pumps he has an excellent knowlege of all things renewable. Outside of Sunny Patch Tom enjoys playing music and gardening.

Lead Electrician

Ray Evans

Ray has been an electrician for over 50 years and has an unparalleled knowleged of electricial installation, having worked in homes and businesses all across the south west. Outside of Sunny Patch Ray is a keen octopush player and regularly competes both at home and abroad.

Renewable's Apprentice

Dan Merritt

Having worked in the care sector for the past few years Dan decided he wanted to pivot into a new industry. With a passion for helping others he felt that installing renewables to help the planet is a great place to start. Outside of Sunny Patch Dan regularly attends sea shanty festivals and writes his own music.
